I'm not the best at designing, the images in my head are so much slicker that I can ever actually accomplish in Photoshop. That doesn't stop me from trying. Instead of drawing though, I end up working with photographs.
Back in the day, I submitted an entry to one of Mena's coloring contests, now long since lost in the archives of dollarshort.org. I worked rather diligently to "color in" Alice and the Caterpillar with actual photographs of little girls, caterpillars, and mushrooms. I was rather impressed with myself.
So when Mena decides to try a vox contest, you understand I had to try again. The Vox logo always struck me as cloudish in nature. Consider this an ode.
